We’ve kept our terms simple and transparent, so families, schools and tutors know exactly how GradeGrow works.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and SIKADIRA LLC ("GradeGrow", "we", "us"), the company that owns and operates GradeGrow, covering the GradeGrow apps, gradegrow.com and the services behind them (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information.
If you use GradeGrow on behalf of a school, district or tutoring business, you confirm you are authorized to accept these Terms for it. Where a school or district has signed a separate agreement or data privacy agreement with us, that agreement takes priority over these Terms if the two differ.
Using GradeGrow means you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. A school's signed agreement with us always wins.
Adults (18 or older) may create parent, teacher, tutor and school administrator accounts. Students use GradeGrow through an account set up by a parent or guardian, or by their school or tutor; students do not sign up on their own.
A parent or guardian who sets up a child's access, or a school that does so for an educational purpose, consents to the child's use of the Service and agrees to these Terms on the child's behalf, and is responsible for supervising that use.
Grown-ups make the accounts. Kids use GradeGrow through a parent, school or tutor.
You agree to give accurate information, keep your login details confidential, and tell us promptly at support@gradegrow.com if you believe someone has used your account without permission. You are responsible for activity on your account, and on the student profiles you manage, unless it results from a failure of our security.
Keep your login private. If something looks wrong, tell us right away.
School data belongs to the school. Student records created through a school account are owned and controlled by that school. We use them only to provide the Service to the school, as described in Section 5 of our Privacy Policy (in the United States, as a "school official" under FERPA; elsewhere, as the school's data processor).
School responsibilities: a school is responsible for adding only teachers and students it is authorized to add, for obtaining any parental consents its own policies or the law require, and for managing who in the school has access.
Teachers: teachers access GradeGrow through accounts their school creates and use it for their school's educational purposes. Teacher activity on a school account is visible to that school's administrators.
Tutors: tutors are responsible for having each family's permission before connecting with a student and must use student information only to provide tutoring to that family.
Data privacy agreements: we will sign a data privacy or data processing agreement with any school, district or education authority that needs one. Contact support@gradegrow.com to request one.
Unused school accounts: a school account that has never been used (no teachers, no purchases, and no activity for an extended period) may be removed after we email a warning and the school takes no action. Logging in again keeps the account.
Schools own their student data. Schools, teachers and tutors each use GradeGrow only for their own students. Unused school accounts are removed only after a warning.
Some features use credits. You can get credits through a subscription, a prepaid pass, a one-time credit pack, a school or tutor plan, or a free sign-up bonus. The price, credit amount and length of each option are shown in the app before you buy.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before renewal in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the current period.
Passes are one-time purchases for a fixed period and do not renew.
Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged for money, and are used only within GradeGrow. Credits are deducted when a feature runs; if a request fails on our side, the credits for it are returned automatically. How unused credits carry over is shown with each plan in the app.
Prices may change. A price change will not affect a period you have already paid for, and Apple or Google will tell you before a subscription renews at a new price.
Subscriptions renew until you cancel in your App Store or Google Play settings. Passes don't renew. Credits only work inside GradeGrow, and we give them back if a feature fails on our end.
All purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms. GradeGrow does not receive or store your card details.
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies: request one at reportaproblem.apple.com for iOS, or through Google Play for Android. If you have a billing problem, email support@gradegrow.com and we will help.
Schools or districts paying by invoice will receive payment and refund terms in their order form or agreement.
Apple or Google handle payments and refunds. Email us if something goes wrong and we'll help.
You agree not to: use the Service for anything unlawful, harmful or harassing; upload content that is abusive, sexual, hateful or that infringes someone else's rights; upload other people's personal information without permission; try to get around credit limits, age protections or security features; reverse engineer the app or extract its source code; scrape data or overload the Service with automated systems; or use GradeGrow to cheat on graded assessments where your school does not allow it.
Use GradeGrow to learn. No hacking, scraping, harmful content or cheating.
You keep ownership of the content you or your child provide, such as scanned schoolwork, answers and written work. You give GradeGrow permission to store and process that content only to provide the Service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. This permission ends when the content or the account is deleted.
We do not use your content for advertising, and we do not allow AI providers to train their models on it.
Your child's work stays yours. We only use it to run the app for you.
GradeGrow uses AI to create learning plans, practice and feedback. We check generated answers automatically, but AI content can still contain mistakes. Treat it as guidance to support learning, not as a final grade, professional advice or a substitute for a teacher. Please tell us at support@gradegrow.com if you see something wrong.
Our AI is a helpful coach, not a perfect one. Double-check important facts and tell us about mistakes.
GradeGrow is an independent learning app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for any government, ministry of education, school district or exam board. Exam names and dates come from those bodies' public sources. We make no guarantee about grades, test scores or exam results (including state tests, SAT, GCSE or 11+); results depend on each student's own effort.
We're independent, not part of any government or exam board. We give you great tools, but results come down to the student's own work.
The Service, including its software, design, text, characters and learning content, belongs to SIKADIRA LLC or its licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the Service for its intended educational purpose while your account is active. You may print or save materials for your own family's or class's learning, but not resell or republish them.
The app and its content belong to us. Use them for learning, but don't resell or republish them.
You can stop using GradeGrow and delete your account at any time in Settings. Deleting an account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription, so cancel that separately.
We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these Terms, or where needed to protect students or comply with the law. Where reasonable, we will warn you first. If we close the Service entirely, we will give reasonable notice and a chance to download your data.
You can leave any time (remember to cancel your subscription too). We only close accounts for serious misuse, and we'll warn you where we can.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, and we do not promise the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the extent the law allows, SIKADIRA LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid GradeGrow in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for our own gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or our obligations under a signed school or district agreement.
We work hard to keep GradeGrow running well, but the law limits what we're responsible for. A school's signed agreement isn't affected.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, please email support@gradegrow.com so we can try to resolve it informally within 30 days. Any dispute that is not resolved will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Maryland, unless the law of your home country or state gives you the right to bring it where you live.
Public schools, districts and education authorities that are prohibited by law from agreeing to another jurisdiction's law or courts are not bound by this section; their own governing law applies. Nothing in these Terms waives any immunity or limit on liability that applies to a public school, district or education authority, or requires one to indemnify GradeGrow or to agree to arbitration.
Maryland law applies. Let's try to sort things out by email first. Public schools keep their own required law.
We may update these Terms as GradeGrow changes. If a change is material, we will tell you in the app or by email at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use GradeGrow after that means you accept the updated Terms; if you don't agree, you can delete your account.
If something important changes, we'll tell you at least 14 days ahead.
If any part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term right away doesn't mean we give up the right to do so later. You may not transfer your account or these Terms without our consent.
